• Monitoring the pricing request queue
• Obtaining capacity and costs from a variety of sources
• Crafting customer facing quotes in accordance with the pricing policy
• Assisting with requests for proposalYour day-to-day will look like this:
  • Process pricing requests for ocean, air and road transportation services and related logistics services from sales makers across the company
  • Obtain capacity and costs for each element from a variety of sources using various tools and by communicating with providers
  • Implement pricing policy to create customer facing quotes
  • Work with others on the pricing team, in sales, in operations and in partner organizations to put together a comprehensive response to RFPsWhat you'll need to excel:At a minimum, you'll need:
    • An enduring interest in global transportation and logistics and a willingness to learn
    • One year of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, specifically ocean and air
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Adept at dealing with large amounts of data that entails advanced Excel skills
    • Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems concurrentlyIt'd be great if you also have:
      • Exposure to a transportation management system like CargoWise
      • Exposure to a rate management system like Catapult
