About Hickey Law Firm:
We are a small group of super dedicated, hardworking trial lawyers. We represent people who have suffered life changing injuries.
Primarily remote working environment. Although our offices are on Brickell Ave in Miami we are still working remotely. But working full-time or part-time from the office is your option if preferred. Attorneys will not be expected to work in the office on a daily basis for the foreseeable future. Attorneys can work remotely except when we need to meet in the office for presentations, intraoffice meetings, trial preparation, or meet with clients. You will be required to go to court and travel for depositions, hearings, mediations, etc.
The Firm is led by John H. (Jack) Hickey, nationally acclaimed lawyer. Jack is a frequent lecturer and author of articles on trial technique, litigation in general and maritime law. He is also Board Certified by The Florida Bar in two areas, Civil Trial and Admiralty and Maritime. Jack currently serves on the Board of Governors of The American Association for Justice (AAJ).
Jack is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Admiralty and Maritime, Personal Injury Litigation- Plaintiffs, and Medical Malpractice - Plaintiffs. He has been elected by his peers as an Advocate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
The verdicts and settlements which Jack and his colleagues have achieved total more than $100 Million.

About You:

You can live in Miami-Dade County, Broward County, or Palm Beach County. But you need to be willing to commute to Miami and travel in general for hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, and occasional in person meetings in the office.
The position requires a highly motivated Associate Attorney with 2-7 years of experience in litigation. We like to see that you graduated with honors from either college or law school. And we are looking for someone with excellent research, writing, and oral argument skills.

We offer:
Base salary: $95k - $140k
Bonus: Potentially significant and based on your performance and the performance of the cases assigned to you.
Benefits package for lawyers are $12,686 to $23,524/year (health insurance, 401(k), long term disability plan (LTD), dues & subscriptions to The Florida Bar and other bar associations, seminars, webinars, maternity/paternity leave. Range depends on pension plan contributions and bar dues which depend on number of years out of school and number of years with the firm and earnings).
