on call rotation and holiday rotation
also cover PET CTPosition PurposeNuclear medicine technologists
perform tests for diagnosis and medical research. They prepare and
give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to
patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of
the radioactive material in the bodyWhat you will do
- Performs diagnostic studies on a variety of gamma cameras and
computer systems.
- Operates equipment without assistance; exercises independent
judgment, performingprocedures of high quality and with a high
degree of proficiency and technical skills.
- Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Equipment is cleaned daily and meets infection control
standards.
- Maintains accurate patient records and charges.
- Requests assistance in complex situations.Minimum
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.Licensure:
- Florida CRT license is required.
- ARRT or NMTCB is required.
