Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (SCGC) , a leader in sugarcane harvesting, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Belle Glade, FL .

If you have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline) and at least 3 years of experience in a mechanical design engineering role this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

  • Perform duties as assigned for the Engineering and Project department.
  • Prepare Mechanical Calculations and generate sketches/drawings as needed to support projects and operations.
  • Create and manage a database of documents for the Engineering department (Drawings and Calculations, Historical data).
  • Help develop solutions to operational problems and bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate designs against industry standards
  • Review designs for compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Creating multiple iterations of design prototypes using computer aided tools.
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools to facilitate project development and documenting processes.
  • Assist with scope of works development for project design and implementation.
  • Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates
